The hotel was surprisingly quiet, and the rooftop outdoor area with a pool and fitness facilities was great. Rooms are a little small but have everything you need. Breakfast is very good if you're used to the free breakfasts in the US, though we've had better at other hotels in Asia, including other Holiday Inn Express locations. It's in a central spot near Clarke Quay, a lively area at night, and Marina Bay is within walking distance.

Graziel deserves a special mention for being kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Her warm manner made the stay more pleasant and memorable. The rooms at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay were clean, modern, and well maintained, and breakfast was convenient with a good variety for an easy start to the day. The location is excellent, close to Clarke Quay, restaurants, and public transport, while still quiet and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel for business or leisure, and would definitely stay again.

The staff made us feel welcome from check-in onward, and the process was smooth. This is my third time staying here, and I’ve always found the service outstanding. The room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, with comfortable bedding and good air-conditioning. Housekeeping did a great job each day. I’d happily come back and recommend the hotel.

We had a lovely walk along the river to Marina Bay Sands and the gardens on three occasions. The location also made getting around easy, with Clarke Quay less than five minutes away on foot and Chinatown about a 15-minute walk. Breakfast had a good selection, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We found check-in easy, and the room was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed with tea and coffee facilities. Our one complaint was the limited clothing storage for a stay of several days. My husband and I were there from 10th February-19th.

The pool was excellent, and the staff were attentive and very helpful. Mary at breakfast and Xin Tong at reception deserve a special mention for their service. The gym, though, was terrible: tiny, old equipment, and no air-conditioning because the room isn’t fully enclosed. Breakfast was okay, and the rooms are small, though the shower was good. You can walk to either Clarke Quay or Chinatown metro from this excellent location.
