The Clan Hotel Singapore by Far East Hospitality

The staff made this stay for me. Everyone, from reception to maintenance, was friendly and helpful, and someone always seemed to pop up when we had a question. One even checked that we knew heavy rain was coming. I'd give them a raise 😂😂😂. The room and lift had a thoughtful, understated design, and you can ask for extra furniture. My partner didn't like that the sink was outside the bathroom, but I found the extra counter space handy for skincare and makeup. The mirror felt far away because the sink was deep, though there was a smaller movable one in the room. The walk-in shower smelled a little damp to me. I have a sensitive nose, while my partner wasn't bothered. The location's convenient, but for local food we had to look around or walk to Chinatown, since the nearby restaurants were Western or Korean. I didn't try the facilities; the pool looked nice, though too small for laps, and the view helps. I haven't stayed in many 5-star hotels to compare, but I'd come back and recommend it.

The room was small, though its quality was excellent: a comfortable bed and a nice, large walk-in shower. Having the sink in the entrance was awkward when clothes were hanging next to it. The nearby MRT is a big plus and, to me, a must in Singapore. Breakfast was chaotic. Tables were squeezed together, people kept brushing past, and getting to the buffet meant bumping into guests or waitresses. There were often too few cups, dishes, and spoons, and the staff looked stressed. The food was okay, nothing special. The pool was tiny with only a few beds, and you had to book a slot, which isn't what I want to do on holiday. The bar also shut around 9:30 at night, which I thought was a joke for a hotel of this quality. I wouldn't stay again. I'd look for somewhere with a nearby MRT, a bigger pool, and larger rooms.

The location made getting around Singapore very easy. The hotel is right by an MRT station, with business areas, attractions, and places to eat all accessible. I especially liked the welcome drink made by the tea master. It was a thoughtful, calming introduction to the hotel's concept and set a lovely tone. My room was modern, beautifully designed, very clean, and comfortable, with a peaceful feel that made it easy to unwind. The team were warm, kind, and attentive at every interaction, and I felt well looked after. With the careful details, stylish and clean surroundings, and convenient location, The Clan Hotel Singapore made for a memorable stay. I'd happily return and recommend it.

We had a fantastic honeymoon stay. The accommodation and facilities were beautiful, and the staff treated us with so much kindness and excitement about our marriage. Great location too. The pool was a little cold, but the hot spa more than made up for it.
