The Sultan

Afra at the front desk made every request feel easy, from feeding the koi fishes to arranging a room with a larger bathroom. She was both efficient and genuinely warm, and the rest of the front desk team showed the same thoughtful professionalism. We're grateful for their care and hope they keep up this standard of service.

Kampong Gelam was a great place to stay, with lots of attractions nearby and amazing local food right at the doorstep. The Sultan itself is a work of art, and the rooms are luxurious, beautifully presented and comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a Malay-French fusion feast at the in-house restaurant The White Label, which I'd highly recommend. Thanks to the whole team for making our short stay in Singapore so enjoyable.

It was my first visit to Singapore, and I was really happy with the hotel. The staff were friendly and the stay was very comfortable. They even gave birthday gifts to my mother and me. I plan to come back when I visit Singapore again.

I stayed here earlier this year and had little to complain about, since the experience was pleasant. But my check-in on (13/07/2025) was disappointing. The receptionist was cold and came across as judgmental, bitter and dismissive. Instead of a friendly welcome, I felt my questions and concerns were met with an authoritative manner and little willingness to help. That wasn't the kind of service I'd expect in a customer-facing role. I know people can have off days, but I hope this gets addressed, as it didn't feel in line with the standards the hotel aims to maintain.
