The neighborhood was a pleasant surprise: it’s full of shops and vendors, while the hostel’s own street stays quiet and tucked away. I’d been hesitant after reading the ratings, but the room was perfectly fine and the staff were kind and helpful. No luxury here, of course, but good value for the price.

The location worked especially well for me, in the Muslim Quarter and within walking distance of Chinatown, Siam Center, and Sumkumvit. My Grab Car to Suvarnabhumi International Airport took 30 minutes and cost 412 Bahts. Bann Bunga Inn gave me a basic, clean little room with no amenities. The bathroom was tiny but usable, the A/C worked well, and the alley was quiet. I could get fresh sheets and towels whenever I asked.
