Deco Lux Hotel

It was an okay place in a decent spot, though not especially close to the main action in Pattaya. I'd come back if I couldn't find somewhere I liked better.

I was really disappointed. Cockroaches were on the bed, on the wall, and in the bathroom when we came back from dinner, and there were ants in the bathroom too. The lobby was cluttered, smelled strongly, and didn't look like the photos. The room was just as misleading. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, so it stayed hot and uncomfortable. After a 32-hour flight, I needed somewhere clean and safe to rest. Instead I felt uneasy and disgusted, and couldn't sleep. This was completely unacceptable and nothing like what was advertised. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

The street market outside kept things noisy, and the walls were so thin that we could hear a family’s kids running around the halls. Nobody did anything about the noise. It was an awful start to our trip to Thailand. We hadn't booked this place ourselves. After we checked into the hotel we had booked, the owner said our room's toilet and AC were broken, so we had to move to their sister hotel. They wheeled us over in a golf kart through a busy night market.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come back.
