Thomas Bangkok Hotel

The location and decor made for a nice holiday feel in the heart of BKK, and the hotel service was lovely. Thanks to all the staff. The rooms were decent, and despite being near multiple rail stations, the trains weren't noisy. We did hear laughter from the next room late into the night for our first two nights out of four, likely because the sound insulation is poor. I guess those guests checked out, because the last two nights were great.

The hotel feels sweet and homely, with tastefully decorated rooms. Its position near the end of the train city line from the airport is a big advantage. I heard the train only once. I'd recommend it for a one or two night stay in Bangkok.

The pizza place right next door was a nice surprise. The hotel is far enough from the town center for a good night's sleep, and the rooms are spacious and actually look like the pictures. Breakfast is alright, nothing special, but it hits the spot. Someone should tell them omelets have things in them and aren't just folded egg. If you don't mind walking, everything is within about 20 minutes. I'd strongly suggest walking to restaurants, gyms, and malls instead of getting a grab, since traffic is pretty much always terrible.

I slept well here. The room was generally clean and smelled fresh, and the bed was big and comfortable. Special shoutout to the firm pillows. Great location, and I'll come back when I'm in Bangkok.
