Petals Inn

The beds were softer than the ones in the other hotels I stayed at, which worked fine for me since I was mostly there to sleep. The room outlets were loose and worn, so I had to prop up my adapter, but managed okay. Visitors are allowed without a joiner fee. I'd recommend the place and stay again.

The bathroom is spacious and modern, and the place seemed clean. Staff were friendly too. They held my bags that morning and let me check in early, at about 11:45, without charging extra. It's quite near Nana plaza, and the rooms look nice, maybe renovated a few years back. My room on the 6th floor was noisy. I first thought it was the lift motor, but now guess it might be a water pump, perhaps for a rooftop tank. The other rooms may not have the same issue. Also, some outlets need replacing since a charger won't stay plugged in.

Don't stay here. This was the worst hotel I've ever been in. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing like the photos, which felt like false advertising. Someone took a three-star rating, but this isn't a hotel to me, it's a bad motel. The night receptionist was unpleasant.

The staff were helpful when I arrived soaked from the rain after riding on the back of a bike. They laughed with me about how dry I looked and gave me a robe, which was great service. I asked for extra towels and they said I could take some from the trolley on my way to the elevator. I stayed one night in mid-May. The room was an okay size for the price, and the location was great, with a 7/11 right across the street and lots of bars nearby. Wi-Fi was neither fast nor too slow, and the restaurant in the hotel foyer had limited options but nice service. I'll stay again.
