Tori Prestige Bangkok Hotel

For a basic room in central Bangkok, it's an affordable place to sleep, around ฿1,200 - ฿1,300 per night. It's handy for shopping and getting around, near the Pratunam / Petchaburi area, with markets and malls nearby and MBK Center around 2 km away.

At least the staff member was helpful and managed to get me the same type of room, a bit better. The access is awful, the room smells old, and there's just one small table with overheight stools. There was a stain by the sofa on the side floor, and the toilet is tiny. This is a fake 4 star hotel, more like a 1 or 2 star guest hotel. Not recommended for anything except people too stubborn to read reviews.

I checked out early and moved to another hotel because the room wasn't fit to stay in. The hotel feels extremely misleading and doesn't meet its advertised standard. I booked expecting a 3.5-4 star property based on the photos and rating on Traveloka, but what I found on arrival was deeply disappointing. It's far inside a narrow alley, and a car can't reach the property, something that wasn't disclosed. The exterior and surroundings look more like a warehouse or back area than a hotel. My room was extremely small, poorly maintained, and unhygienic. The bed sheets and pillows were dirty. The walls don't block sound at all, so conversations in the hallway and on the stairs are easy to hear. The “window” faces a wall, with no sunlight or ventilation, so functionally there's no window. Dirty laundry and used linens were left stacked openly on the stairs and in common areas. The online photos don't show the hotel's actual condition, and the gap between expectation and reality is massive. The strict non-refund policy makes it effectively impossible to cancel once guests see the condition on arrival. In my opinion, it protects the hotel from accountability rather than guests. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. I'd strongly advise travelers to read reviews carefully and not rely on photos or star ratings alone.

I paid for what was presented as a 4 star hotel, but the quality is far from that. My "deluxe" room had windows facing straight into brick, nothing like the pictures. The bathroom smelled of mold and sewage. An electrical fuse box with an LED kept the room lit up at night. The hotel is in a super sketchy alley, and the soundproofing is poor. All the rooms connect to a stairway, so you hear everything there as well as your neighbors.
