Glory Wabi Sabi Hotel

After a long flight, we stayed one night in a room that worked perfectly for our family of four, with both king and queen sized beds. It felt roomy, had plenty of outlets for our devices, and the water pressure was good. Check-in and checkout were smooth. There’s some parking, a coffee shop next door, and the stadium is close if you want an early walk or jog. Breakfast was a standard buffet with both Western and Thai options.

The location is excellent, and the hotel has potential, but the customer service could be better, especially compared with other hotels in Thailand. Sound carries badly between rooms and from the hallway. Curtains and maybe a rug might help with the acoustics.

The staff were warm, helpful and welcoming, and the price seemed average. It was a pleasant stay, though the place could use some improvements. The hotel is accessible and right in the heart of town, within walking distance of several seven eleven outlets, self-service clothes washing, the last old wooden market, temples, a masjid (mosque) and more. The facility was clean and tidy, though some things didn’t meet expectations. The pool is on the ground floor behind the lobby and beside the dining area, which is inconvenient, and there’s no gym for people who want to keep up a healthy lifestyle. Breakfast choices are very limited, especially if you have a restricted diet. The room has no shelves or cupboard for storage, and they don’t provide bath robes or face/hand towels. Be careful walking by the bed too, because its projecting cement shelf-like structure could easily hurt your leg. The pool and breakfast ratings were low, but the location was excellent. Our favourite hotel in chaing mai so far. We’ve stayed twice and will definitely be back next year. The staff were really nice and helpful, the rooms were big and lovely, and the bed was comfy. Good location too, and you can rent bikes outside. Highly recommend!
