Sleep Easy krabi Guest House

Mark was so kind and helpful at Sleep Easy. He arranged a taxi to our next hotel and booked us a tour of the nearby islands, plus gave us lots of other ideas for things to do around there. He's a great cook, too, and the food was delicious. We ate here at least once every day. I'll be back to Krabi in the future, and I know where I'm staying.

We tried a mixed cold platter with ham, cheese, salami and whatever else Marc had available while he was relocating just two doors down. He also has wine. This little Italian spot by the river is run by Marc, a friendly guy from Malta. There isn't a river terrace, unfortunately, but that doesn't take away from the food. It's the sort of place where you can easily spend a whole afternoon if you're not in a hurry.

The rooms are basic but clean, with good mattresses and bedding. Bathrooms are separate, which wasn't a problem for us, and they were clean too, with big towels. The location is right by the river in the centre of town, making it a lovely place to spend a night when transferring to or from Krabi airport. Mark, the Italian owner, is a delight. His Italian pasta is amazing, and he makes Italian bread filled with all sorts of imported cheeses and cold meats. His full English breakfast with black pudding was the best I've had outside the UK.

My stay at sleep easy in Krabi was extremely disappointing. On 30.12, the service was the worst I've experienced in Thailand. The owner was rude and unwilling to accommodate us, making the whole situation unpleasant. I booked a room based on the information provided, and my interaction with the service left me deeply disappointed. I stand by this review as an honest account of my experience. It's possible I missed the specific condition that the room was for families only. I understand why rules are needed, but the staff's attitude and the way they handled it felt unprofessional and unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
