The area isn't really set up for tourists, it's where locals live day to day. Still, Ankara castle is nearby, and Ataturk's mausoleum is about a 30-minute walk away. The Turkish hospitality was genuine, and it was easy to communicate in English. There was a good breakfast and a large bathroom too.

A good mid-range place to stay, with very friendly staff and a really nice breakfast. The enclosed rooftop restaurant has a beautiful city view.

Sahinbey was hard for our driver to find, but the location worked well for walking around. The Museum of Anatolian Civilization and the nearby fort are accessible, as are the renovated area around the Haci Bayram Mosque, the Temple of Augustus, and other Roman ruins. We especially enjoyed the nearby market and restaurants serving local food. The staff were helpful and willing to communicate through Google Translate.

The rooms were clean and a good size, and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The hotel was a good place to stay for tourists, right at the foot of the castle hill. The Museum of Anatolian Civilisation is quite close, and the Roman ruins of Ancyra, including the Temple of Augustus, are nearby in the other direction. It was well located and the staff were kind.
