Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

Our Beyzade Suite was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable, with an atmosphere that made it easy to relax. We’ve had few hotel stays as good as this one. The team across housekeeping, reception, service, and the kitchen were consistently warm and attentive. Requests were handled easily, sometimes before we even asked. The service felt personal and discreet while staying efficient. The historic property is beautifully maintained and spotless down to the details. Its setting in the heart of Sultanahmet puts the main attractions just steps away, yet the hotel itself is quiet and relaxing. It sets a high standard for comfort, cleanliness, location, and hospitality. We’ll definitely return and recommend it without hesitation.

Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both excellent, with plenty of interesting Turkish dishes. The staff were always gracious, and the rooms were comfortable. The hotel feels small in a friendly way, rather than large and corporate. Its crocus-yellow buildings surround a big courtyard, with colourful cyclamen, violas and polyanthus in February. It has the feel of a Lake Como villa, despite its prison origins. Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are just a stone’s throw away, so the location couldn’t be better. Highly recommended.

The hotel is beautiful and nicely appointed, and the service was impeccable, particularly at the bar and in the dining area. Our main problem was the air conditioning: even by special request, it could only be set down to 20C. We prefer to sleep at 18C, especially under those heavy comforters.

The food tasted great and was really good quality, and we liked the pleasant atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. We truly enjoyed our visit, thanks for everything.
