The rooms were spacious, well cared for, and had all the modern amenities I needed. Antique decor gives the Antique 1893 Hotel a distinctive look, and the place really does have charm and history. The staff were very attentive and made sure I was comfortable. I had a delightful, memorable stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for something distinctive in the heart of Istanbul.

The bedrooms and the spot near Esteghlal Street were the only real upsides, though the neighborhood wasn't upscale. The rest of our week was a mess. With five floors and the kitchen in the basement, getting around was already awkward for a family. On the first night, we found hairs on two beds, and cleanliness stayed poor throughout. Three bathrooms couldn't be used for the first couple of nights: toilets leaked, shower heads were broken, and shower doors were coming apart. Repairs took days, and even afterward the property still felt badly cared for. There were exposed wires in every bathroom, which felt unsafe. The entire fourth floor was dark; management refused our request for a bulb, saying they didn't have the right kind. Kitchen supplies were very limited, and there was a broken chair in the bedroom. Between the stairs, poor cleaning, and safety problems, this was the worst Airbnb I've stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it.

Istiklal Street was close enough that I walked there, and all the Istanbul attractions felt within easy walking distance. I loved the intricate details at Le Antique 1892 too. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the hotel atmosphere and the location. The room was spacious, tidy, and more comfortable than I expected, and the staff were friendly. It made for an amazing stay.

A short walk gets you to Istiklal Street for Turkish food and shopping, Galata Tower, and Taksim Square. For me, the location was the best part.
