Masif House Apart-hotel

I found a clean room here with a sea view, and the people were quite friendly. It saved my day after the fraud and rude treatment at the nearby De Mere motel, where they tried to charge me triple my reservation when I arrived. I’d recommend this as a low-cost, cozy place for couples near the historic area.

We had a comfortable, spacious apartment and friendly service during our week here as a family of five. The mosque next door means the calls to prayer make it quite noisy both day and night, so it may not suit light sleepers. We still loved the place and would come back.

We booked through Airbnb for three days. The room was warm, clean, and nice, though the bed felt a bit small for me and my husband, who are both big. Breakfast was at the partner hotel saruhan, served as an open buffet for 7 euros per person on a lovely rooftop with an amazing view. You can clearly hear the subway passing by, but it didn’t bother us while we slept. There aren’t any blackout curtains, so light sleepers should bring an eye mask. Otherwise, it was good enough and the price was excellent.

I loved being in a part of Istanbul with vintage wooden houses and charming parks, on a quiet street where locals were friendly and hospitable too. It wasn’t all tourists. Masif hotel had big, clean rooms with modern necessities, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The location was really convenient, and it made our stay in Istanbul wonderful. I can’t wait to return.
