Menar Hotel & Suites

The team made this stay feel personal and warm. Amir, Kadir, and Ramazan were welcoming, professional, and full of positive energy, and it was clear they cared about their guests. The room wasn't large or fancy, but it was cozy and comfortable, and I slept peacefully after long days in Istanbul. From the moment I arrived, everything felt clean, calm, and well looked after. This was one of the few times a hotel felt like home to me. It helped make my Istanbul trip memorable, and I'd be glad to come back.

We stayed here at the start and end of our tour around the country, and the location made a handy base. It's in the old town, about a 5-minute walk from the Blue Mosque, with plenty of nearby restaurants. There's a paid car park roughly two minutes away, though free street parking may be available, and our low-season rates were quite competitive. On our return, we booked a suite looking toward the Blue Mosque. The view from the fourth floor was amazing, and the terrace also let us see the sea. For our first stay, I'd picked the hotel for its rooms with bathtubs and sea views. The suites were spacious, clean, and well appointed, with comfortable bedding on the firmer side. The property has two connected buildings next to each other, and the second one seemed to have had a more recent renovation. The hotel is very nice, and service was excellent during both visits. They even brought complimentary coffee and tea to the room. It worked out as a great choice for exploring Istanbul.

Kadri and Emir at reception were especially kind and attentive. They were friendly, professional, and ready to help, which made me feel valued as a guest. The rooms were well kept, clean, and comfortable, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The location also made it easy to get around the area. I had a very pleasant stay at "Menar Suites in Old City" Hotel in Turkey, and would recommend it for a relaxed visit. I'd be happy to return.

Emmet and the team were amazing, always ready to drop what they were doing to help, with plenty of tea, coffee, and sweets at any hour. The top-floor room was great, and the internal elevator made getting there easy. It's about a 10-minute walk to Sultanahmet metro, which connects you to wherever you need to go, and also around 10 minutes on foot to Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, and Basilica cistern. I'd stay here again.
