Meroddi Barnathan Hotel

We had an early flight, and the front desk kindly put together breakfast for us to take along. The staff were great throughout, especially that team. The terrace breakfast was another favorite. The setting was charming, the food excellent, and hearing the pianist each morning made it feel special. From our room, the view of Galata Tower was beautiful too. Meroddi Barnathan Hotel was one of the highlights of our time in Istanbul, with memorable service, lovely character, and amazing views.

There's a big bed in a small room, and the bathroom is tight too. The hotel gave us earplugs, and they were necessary and worked well for the noise. We also got cute little gifts. It's very close to everything, with the shopping street and the tower right nearby. Breakfast had what we needed and the service was excellent. Sometimes orders got mixed up or drinks were forgotten, but it didn't cause us any problems. The small bathroom wasn't the most important part of a trip to Istanbul anyway.

The staff took care to refill the coffee, tea, and water every day. Breakfast was good, with lots of choices, including fresh orange juice and Turkish coffee made just right. The location was amazing, and we had a lovely view of Galata tower.

The only drawback for me was that some people smoked in the dining areas. Otherwise, I loved it so much I wanted to move in permanently. The place has gorgeous old-world charm, a very Parisien feel, and lovely dining rooms and bedrooms, with details like the light fixtures thought through. There's a rooftop restaurant, and you can see Galata Tower from downstairs and up top. The service and breakfast were excellent, and both the guests and staff came from different countries.
