The owner didn’t speak English, though he understood, and he was more helpful than we expected. He even gave every guest a New Year’s gift and drove us to the metro station during a heavy snowstorm. Maria was also so kind, always smiling and ready to help. She made sure things were up to standard and that guests were comfortable. Our room wasn’t very spacious, but that didn’t matter much since we were out all day. Breakfast was average, though worth the price. We’d gladly return if we visit Istanbul again and would recommend this place to anyone visiting.

Breakfast was in the neighboring building, and it was very nice. The staff there were nice too. The hotel is close to many tourist sights, but it’s down a hill, so you need a taxi to get to the top. My room felt a bit old and dirty, though it was okay for a two-day stay. There’s no elevator, so I had to carry my suitcase up to the room.

There’s a rooftop terrace where you can see the sea. The two rooms on the hotel’s top floor have balconies, and sitting out there is nice, though the view is of an old house that’s falling apart. The hotel has two floors and was generally okay. They cleaned every day and brought fresh towels, but the shower and bathroom were quite small. If you have long legs, be ready to bump into the sink.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Istanbul’s main street. The route is through quiet streets, and there’s nothing there at night.

A terrible place to stay. The management isn’t cooperative and the facilities aren’t available. Don’t spend your money here and risk spoiling your trip.
