Urban Quarters - Asmali Mescit

Burak was friendly and quick to help whenever anything came up. The apartment is just a minute from Istanbul’s main street, with nice restaurants nearby and a great pizzeria downstairs in the same building. It’s a handy spot for nightlife and shopping, but you can still sleep peacefully in the middle of the city. I definitely recommend the location and the place.

We had a great time in this lovely apartment right in the heart of the city. The host was quick to reply whenever we needed help getting in or had another request. I’d definitely book it again.

The hallways were constantly cluttered with cleaning supplies, and my family couldn’t sleep on the metal torture device they called a couch. I took it instead, and spent the night in pain while recovering from eye surgery. Getting basic information took a week of chasing them. They said they couldn’t send photos of the bed because “guests were inside,” but I booked anyway. When I asked the manager if he’d tried sleeping on the couch, he just said they’d look into it. There was no solution or concern. I said I’d leave a review if nothing changed, and instead of fixing anything, he cancelled my stay. I could barely see my screen and had to urgently find somewhere else. I’ve travelled the world for years and never been kicked out before Urban Quarters. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Avoid.

The area outside was a little messy and busy, but that’s what you’d expect in the city centre. Inside, the apartment was cozy and comfortable, and we felt at home straight away. The host was lovely, quick to respond, and very helpful the whole time. We had a really nice stay.
