Ifield Court Hotel & Restaurant

I run a UK-registered charity and have stayed here several times. Nasir at reception has been consistently professional, positive, and ready to help. The service he provides is a big reason I’ve chosen to keep staying here for an extended period.

A cheap, cheerful place if you just need somewhere to stay on the go, and there’s plenty of parking. The building itself is lovely, but it and our room could use more care. The room was clean and tidy, though small details matter: the mastic was untidy, and the floorboards creaked in our room and the one above. The shower pressure was poor and it made a horrible noise in the morning. There was no bath plug, and the room fridge either didn’t work or wasn’t plugged in. The smoking area is right outside reception, which seems like an odd spot for it. You get what you pay for.

I really liked the hotel. My room was clean and modern, with a lovely river view, and the staff, especially at the front desk, were very helpful. Breakfast was well prepared each morning and had a good range of choices. The location was convenient for the nearby airport, and I’d recommend it to travelers wanting to be close to things. I also had a smooth trip through Gatwick Airport. The signs made it easy to get between check-in, security, and the gates. Security moved quickly, staff were courteous and professional, and the terminal was clean and well kept, with plenty of seats and charging points.

Staff were attentive and helpful, and the place is quiet because there’s not much around. For a quick stopover where you don’t care much about the accommodation, it’ll do. The room was acceptable but dated and felt grimy. The shower drains were poor, and the mold on the walls made me think it had been there for a while. The carpets were a little sticky, and the furniture looked like it was held together with glue and hope. Bring shower shoes if you need to wash and sleep here. The airport shuttle costs extra, and breakfast is charged separately.
