Breakfast was enjoyable and service was excellent the whole time. The room was clean and well kept, though a little small. Great location near the beach and theatres. A reliable place to stay.

Mr Muhammad was an excellent manager, caring and exceptionally helpful. When I left my medical bag behind, he went to extra effort to send it back through DPS. Our family, including our two sons, enjoyed the bonfire night and fireworks. The facilities in the rooms were excellent, and Muhammad’s care made the stay well worth recommending. Thank you again, Muhammad. Such a kind young man. We’d definitely visit again and treat him to a good dinner. God bless. We stayed as a family in Eastbourne on a budget. The rooms were very clean, though they could use a little TLC. There was tea, coffee, milk and a hairdryer, but no fridge or iron.

The room was stuffy, hot and uncomfortable, really only suitable for sleeping at night. The windows wouldn’t open, the fan was broken, and there was no air conditioning. The shower barely worked, giving either boiling hot or cold water, and the shower stall door was broken or missing. The old bed linen needs replacing. A mirror opposite the bed made me feel watched and unsafe. Parking was a problem, and there was no breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s a hostel, not a hotel. Six months later they told me they were sorry. Are you serious? Is that how much you care about your guests? I’ve worked in high-end hotels in Kyiv and know what proper service and attention are. You’re just making money. It would’ve been better not to respond to my comment. I repeat, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

The Mowbray was in a perfect spot, just a short walk to the seafront, theatres and town centre. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and everything cooked to a high standard. The staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming and always ready to help with anything I needed. I couldn’t have asked for more. An absolutely excellent stay, highly recommended, and I’ll definitely return.
