The Inn Place

This hotel is closed! When I tried to book online, Google redirected me to a different hotel with a very similar name. It seemed to be a generic booking site for another hotel about a mile away, called The Place Hotels. Odd, right? I called the number listed online and spoke directly with someone at The Inn Place on 12/22/2025 at 7:50am EST. They told me it was no longer a hotel and said they get calls from people about it all the time.

Once we found the hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. It was difficult to spot from outside because there wasn't a large sign or entrance. The location is excellent, halfway between the palace and castle, just off the Royal Mile. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Inside, the layout is a little odd: we had to go through four doors and up a few steps to reach our spacious, well-equipped room. The place was warm, clean, and comfortable. We'd stay again.

I was very happy with our stay. The place is right by Anchor Close, and the steps lead up to the Royal Mile. The location is brilliant, and the rooms and bathroom were spacious and clean. I'd highly recommend it and would definitely stay again if I returned to Edinburgh. The only downside was the lack of a hair dryer. With freezing temperatures and two girls with long hair, being able to dry our hair before going out would have made the stay even better.

Both the room and bathroom were clean and modern, and the hotel is in a great spot just off the Royal Mile, five minutes' walk from Princes Street. We'd definitely stay here again. The only downsides were no hair dryer in the room and some noise at times. I'm not sure whether it was from noisy guests.
