The owner was fabulous, and we had such a good laugh with them. Their sense of humour really made us feel at ease. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the price was hard to believe. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome and helping us out. Sadly, my son didn't win his fight, so I can't come back, but I'd stay again if I could and would recommend you to anyone.

We almost let the negative reviews put us off, but I'm glad we ignored them. The Vale Hotel felt like a home from home, and we've already booked a week for next October. John and Sandra are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in room 5, which has a shared bathroom. We were unsure about that before arriving, but both the room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel was warm, comfortable and good value, and the parking is gated and secure. Thanks, John and Sandra. See you in 2026.

The garden and games room outside were a lovely extra. We had a spacious room with a really comfortable bed, and the price was very reasonable. Sandra and John were great hosts, always ready to help with anything. Many thanks for a lovely stay at this little independent hotel.

A late cancellation at our party venue could have caused a real problem, but John and Sandra pulled out all the stops to fit us in at their hotel, and we had a great evening. They were perfect hosts, lovely people, and we wanted for nothing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we'd certainly stay again, even just to see them. Many, many thanks. Tony & Mary

The rear garden is beautiful, and there are plenty of private parking spaces. It's a lovely, fresh and very clean place, with really friendly staff. Good price too. I'd recommend it and will stay again.
