Mount Pleasant Hotel

The breakfast was excellent, and the morning waiting staff were lovely. We stayed for a Saturday night after a thoroughly miserable, rainy day. The hotel was welcoming and well located, and our room had a good sized bed and a decent bathroom.

We arrived late and tired just as the kitchen was closing. We thought we’d have to head to the pub, but the assistant manager checked with the chef, who kindly offered to make simple fish and chips since it was raining. She even helped carry our suitcases upstairs. Our dietary needs were no trouble, and the meal was outstanding. I’ve included a picture of the simple fish and chips. The place is quiet, relaxing and very clean, with everything a short walk away. We highly recommend staying here.

There’s plenty of free parking, and the service and breakfast were excellent. The owners were friendly too. You can walk to the main town in just a few minutes, while the hotel itself is in a peaceful spot beside a public park. It’s a lovely hotel in beautiful grounds, with a garden and a good sized lawn.

The food is first class, and everyone on staff is really friendly. We stayed five nights at this lovely hotel, close to the beach and shops in a lovely area. I’d definitely recommend it.
