The Belmont Hotel

The food was beautifully presented, with generous portions and an amazing choice of courses. Even though the weather was dreadful, it didn’t spoil the atmosphere. We felt relaxed throughout lunch, and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Thanks to everyone for making our anniversary one to remember. We look forward to coming back soon. We’d originally planned to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary last week, but had to cancel because I had a chest infection, so we rebooked for today. It was our first visit to this hotel, though we come to Sidmouth every few weeks. We left with a brochure and are very tempted to book a stay, even though we live in Seaton.

The three of us had such a delightful lunch. The food looked beautiful and tasted even better, and the service was personal and attentive. A big thank you to everyone who looked after us.

The food is lovely, the staff are attentive, and the tasteful Christmas decorations are everywhere. It isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for. We’ve just had another wonderful stay. My wife and I have made an annual trip to Sidmouth and stayed at the Belmont since 2009, except for the year we were all in Covid lockdown. That probably says it all.

Our autumn break was made really enjoyable by the Belmont Hotel, so thank you. The room was spacious and well appointed, the staff friendly, polite and attentive, and the food was good. When we visit Sidmouth or the surrounding area, the Belmont would easily be our first choice for somewhere to stay.
