The twin room had a partial sea view, but it was tiny. Breakfast cost an extra £20 and was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, with amazing architectural details and old school charm. There are plenty of communal seats on luxurious sofas, and the staff were exemplary.

We had drinks in the lounge before moving to the dining room, with friendly, efficient staff taking care of us. The meal was amazing, with unusual options and delicious flavours. I almost wished we could stay for dinner too. We were there for a special birthday lunch with a small family group. It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely spot, and staying there sounds like a treat. I’ll add it to my list of places to stay.

Drinks on the terrace, a cream tea and the sun setting over Sidmouth make for one of the great pleasures of this classic hotel. A cold glass of Ayala was just the thing. Deputy Manager Duncan and bar staff Luke gave us impeccable service. Tonight, complimentary canapés were included, a treat usually for residents. A lovely start to Saturday night.

I’ve had another lovely holiday here and was even taken into town by Rolls Royce. Just fabulous 👌 The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the outdoor pool is lovely, and the food is delicious. Everything’s clean. The hotel is quiet but still close to the coast and town. I’d like a balcony, though I’m really nit picking. I’ll definitely come again. You really can’t fault it. I think it’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in in England 🏴

Sadie gave me an amazing facial at The Victoria. She was lovely, professional and knowledgeable, and shared lots of skin care advice. It was so relaxing that I didn’t want it to end. Thank you for a wonderful spa day.
