The Duke Hotel

The cocktails at the leopard bar are a must. We had a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, and the staff there were so helpful. Reception were great too. My friend and I had a gorgeous room with a beautiful balcony view, and the service was great throughout. There's no gym on site, but a large one is across the road. We didn't have time to try the pool, though it looked lovely. Would recommend!

The room upgrade put us just above the large flags on long poles by the hotel entrance. With the strong winds, they rattled and flapped below our windows, which wasn't great when we were trying to sleep. The restaurant was good, though. Staff were lovely, friendly, and efficient, and the terrace had a lovely view. It's a quiet area, but getting there means a bit of a walk up a steep hill.

We kept returning to the restaurant and ate there five nights during our eight night stay. The food was perfect, and the team worked together effortlessly. Breakfast was amazing, with table service, and we enjoyed pre dinner cocktails in the leopard bar before going in to eat. We loved the stay and settled in easily. Highly recommended.

Staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, always helpful, professional, and attentive. The Duke of Richmond Hotel is beautiful and in a lovely location. We had an excellent experience and can't wait to return. Highly recommended!
