The breakfast was good and did the job before a day out, though it was pretty standard. Check-in late at night went smoothly, and the atmosphere was great with fantastic service. I’d happily use BW again, and I hope to try breakfast there another time. Just keep an eye on the chancellor’s hidden booking taxes. My reservation was supposed to include breakfast, but I was told it was room only, so either Booking.com listed the rate incorrectly or “breakfast included” meant something different.

Breakfast was lovely, though the early start around 6.30 means the fried eggs can be crusty if you’re not up early. I’m sure they’d have made fresh ones if I’d asked. The room was lovely too, and once I turned up the heating it warmed quickly. The shower was so powerful it nearly sent me to the far end of the bath! Staff were incredibly friendly and treated us so well. The only reason this gets four stars from me is that the place is mostly used as a workers’ stopover. I’ll come back when we visit Twycross Zoo. I didn’t take photos this time because I was feeling a bit low, and the trip was meant to cheer me up.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Our accessible room was the best we’ve stayed in, with a really high standard. The food was excellent. I’m not usually a pizza person, but that was the best pizza I’ve ever had. Breakfast was plentiful and hot, apart from the continental options, of course. We picked this place for a Birmingham City match because we wanted to be outside the busy centre, and it was on our route north. It turned out to be the best hotel we’ve stayed in. We normally choose the other two, but from now on we’ll stay at a BW whenever there’s one near where we’re going. It’s very close to the M42, and we’ll be back next time we’re in the Midlands for football.

After a family get-together, we stayed here overnight and were impressed. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was hot and powerful. Check-in was friendly and informative. For the price, it was just what we needed, and I’d stay again. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant, so I can’t comment on either.

I’ve been here five nights while working nearby, and the recommendation I got has definitely held up. The room is tended to every day, the service is great, and both breakfast and dinner have been really good. Couldn’t ask for more. I’ll stay here again.
