Studio Haus East 6th Austin by Kasa

The service and amenities were great, and it wasn’t too noisy on the fifth floor, even on a Saturday, despite being next to a very popular bar. The rooms are airtight, though, and you can’t open the windows. With the heat or AC running, the air gets extremely dry. I had two nosebleeds and developed a cough.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I had no trouble finding the place with GPS, got easy access, and was able to keep a parking spot the whole time. There was tasty food close by, too. The staff across the front desk, operations, maintenance, and housekeeping were all super professional and friendly. I also appreciated the warm welcome and liked knowing someone was there when I checked in through AI.

Mel at the front desk was so helpful and nice. A typo in my guest name stopped me from checking in online, and my booking agency said I’d have to rebook because they couldn’t change it. Mel fixed the name so I could check in successfully. I then added another night, which created a second booking ID, and asked if I could keep the same room. She put in a request through their internal system and tried to arrange it, though it didn’t work out in the end. Amazing service!

We liked it enough to book again for October after staying in September. The staff were lovely, easy to talk to, and always ready to help. The nightly rate was good value, and the location in East Austin, especially around 6th avenue, is fantastic, with breweries, coffee shops, and food trucks. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out, with everything you need in the building: a kitchen for reheating food, a rooftop, laundry, and a place to work. We’d definitely stay again when we’re back in Austin.
