The staff were very pleasant, and I appreciated that. The room and hotel, though, were unacceptable. The door wouldn't open properly, as if someone had kicked it in before. The microwave was rotted out, as were parts of the refrigerator, including above it. In the bathroom, paneling was coming loose beneath the toilet. I wish I could show the pictures, but this site won't let me, so I'll post them elsewhere.

Michelle and Angelique made my stay so enjoyable with their thoughtful, dedicated service. Angelique was always kind, attentive, and ready to help with whatever I needed. Michelle's leadership showed in how smoothly things ran, and she made sure the details were taken care of. Both were warm, welcoming, and professional from the moment I arrived at the Extended Stay in Churchland, Portsmouth. It's rare to meet staff so considerate. I landed in town unexpectedly and went straight to Extended Stay on Churchland Blvd., in Chesapeake, VA. They usually book up completely because of the great service, so I was glad there was a room. Booking was easy and the customer service was great. Michelle greeted me, and I always appreciate her kindness and professionalism. Clean, comfortable room and no problems. Thanks for another restful stay!

For business trips and longer stays, this is a good budget option, and I'd book here again. It's among the least expensive hotels in the area. The rooms have a small kitchenette and refrigerator, though they're somewhat dated.

Michelle, the manager, made check-in easy. I had a problem with the online check-in, and she fixed it in seconds without any fuss. The staff are friendly and quick to help with whatever I needed during my stay.
