Motel Edgebrook Chicago North Shore by OYO

For the price, this Edgebrook motel is well worth it. It’s the most affordable motel I’ve found in the surrounding cities by far, and it’s easy to reach from the highway. There are lots of places to eat nearby, plus a forest preserve for walks and somewhere for kids to play. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for good value, and I want to thank the staff for making my stay better than I expected. The staff, especially the manager and one daytime front desk worker, are understanding and seem to care. When you ask for something, they try to deal with it promptly, usually right away, and do what they can to make you comfortable. With Chicago’s weather changing so much from day to day, there’s no AC unit in each room, but they’ll provide one or even an extra fan if you need it, no questions asked. The housekeeping women clean well, though sometimes you have to ask. The bathroom walls are kind of thin, so you can hear other rooms, and they’re literally working on it. I do think the motel needs to address noisy sections where people need sleep.
