We had a great long weekend here. The location was perfect, everything was very clean, and Owen, Laura, and the friendly security guard were all lovely and gave great recommendations. There’s a free happy hour with good liquor and drinks. The $25 nightly resort fee was a downside, but even with it, the hotel cost less than places nearby. We loved our stay, thank you!

We had a great one-night stay at the hotel in the Loop, in the former Old Dearborn Bank Building. It was Virgin Hotels Chicago before and is now being converted and renovated to the SI Resorts. The building itself is beautiful, with terracotta decorations on the facade, original elevator doors in the lobby, wood paneling inside the elevators, an old bank vault door, and an old-fashioned mail slot that runs to the top floors. Some room doors are original office doors with mail slots at the bottom. Our spacious room had a great view of historic buildings including the Jewelers’ Building and Carbine & Carbon Building. Valet took our car as soon as we arrived. Patrick at the front desk was friendly and made sure we had the information we needed. The lobby staff greeted us with smiles each time we came through. There’s complimentary happy hour on the second floor, 3-7pm Monday through Saturday and 10am-2pm Sunday. The bar area is very cool, with air hockey, billiards, and a couple of arcade games. Highly recommend.

The room felt comfortable and like home, with amazing views and a thoughtful, original layout. The separate sinks and closets worked out so well for us, and we loved the rainfall showerhead. Valet parking made things easy, and the man who unloaded the car and showed us to the room was friendly and informative. Everyone did a fantastic job, and we appreciated it. If we come back, we’ll stay here again without question.

We were so satisfied with the service that I made another reservation to come back tomorrow. The staff were all so kind and welcoming, explained the hotel services, and answered our questions about the bill and reservation. I met several different staff members, and they were friendly every time. The room was clean and full of character. The location is right in the center of Chicago, with all the sights accessible from the hotel, and the coffee shop has good products. I recommend it. Best hotel in Chicago!

The room still had some décor from the previous brand, but it was clean, comfortable, and very nice. What made the stay for me was how well the staff looked after me throughout the weekend. The whole team was attentive and made me feel welcome and at home, which was exactly what I needed for a much-needed staycation. I’d barely slept in a week and was dealing with a problem involving a third-party reservation. Shea and Patrick stayed calm, reassured me, kept me updated, and took the initiative to sort everything out so I could relax. At the complimentary happy hour, Tristan and Beau were warm, engaging, and knew a lot about the brand, what’s coming next for the resort, and things to do nearby. It felt like real hospitality, not a scripted conversation. The team’s care, patience, and extra effort meant a lot and made the weekend restorative. If this is what the pre-season experience at the Sports Illustrated Resort is like, game time should be a real treat.
