I ended up staying at Homewood Suites for four months after the Airbnb I'd booked ahead of my move from Florida to Colorado Springs for work became a nightmare. I loved it so much that I never left, and would've stayed if work hadn't transferred me to Denver. The staff treated me like family and take real pride in the hotel, their guests, and each other. I'm grateful to every one of them for everything they did for me. The room was fabulous, the location was perfect, and there are beautiful mountain views from all sides. An incredible shopping plaza with lots of places to eat is just down the street.

This is the only place I'll stay when I'm in town. Lexi and J at the Homewood Suites in Colorado Springs NORTH made the experience. Lexi is warm, professional, and such a bright presence that she made me feel more welcome than anyone at any hotel I've visited. They ought to double her pay. J, the daytime manager, went above and beyond to accommodate my girlfriend and me. I can't say enough good things about the team, and I'll come back just to see Lexi.

After my surgery, J immediately asked how it went and told me to let her know if she could do anything for me. I'd flown into Colorado Springs for surgery and had called ahead to ask about early check-in. J said to come on in, got me set up with Hilton rewards, and made sure I had what I needed. I also loved the Christmas fun with "Homie the elf". The location worked well for the surgery center, less than 2 miles away, and a promenade full of restaurants and outlet stores.

The location is good, and the recent renovation looks tasteful, but this place felt poorly run. They oversold and made one family switch from two double beds to a king, which doesn't always work when you have kids. The advertised pull-out couches aren't in every room, so finding one meant a bit of a project. Breakfast was awful. There was no protein, and it sounded like they hadn't made sure the shipment would arrive on time to keep breakfast going. If sloppy oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, and waffles are your thing, you're set. If you want healthy food or protein, bring your own. I also understand the evening social or happy hour is no longer offered.
