The hotel looks great when you walk in, but my two-night work stay with a coworker had several problems. The toilet in my room kept cycling on and off every 30 to 45 seconds. I reported it, heard the front desk call maintenance, then went to work and dinner. When I got back, it was still doing it. I reported it again the next morning and was told maintenance had checked and found nothing wrong, which can't be true. It seems like an easy fix with a $5 part, and trying to sleep with that noise was practically impossible. There were also obvious spills on the tile at the entrance to my room that housekeeping should have cleaned. They only come every other day, which may be standard now, but room prices haven't come down to match the reduced service. Finally, there's no complimentary continental breakfast like at most hotels. I was quickly reminded that it costs $9.95, though I only wanted a breakfast bar. That's outrageous for a hotel charging nearly $200 a night. I'll be in the Charlotte area more often for work, but this has ruled this hotel out for me.

We had a great experience. The hotel, its amenities, and its services were all great. We couldn't use the pool because it was cold the day we visited, but the location is convenient for major restaurants and malls. The breakfast team was great, especially Tandal, who was very helpful with the food and menu details. Thank you.

The location was amazing and easily the best part. There were food places and local shops nearby, and our room was large and accessible. Still, the poor service and several room problems made the stay very disappointing. Housekeeping changed only one bed instead of both, left the trash, and didn't clean anything else. The curtain didn't work, the air conditioner was manual, and charging for WiFi felt unreasonable. The pool heater was broken. We were told it was supposed to be repaired, but it never was. With temperatures below freezing, the pool was unusable, which isn't acceptable for a standard hotel amenity. We left a day early because of all this, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Andrea at the bar was a gem, and the food and drinks were tasty and well priced. We also liked the outside seating area with a fireplace after a long 70° November day. The food and drink pantry was well stocked, and the other guests were friendly. Our room was fantastic, with a separate seating area, and it was very clean and comfortable. Best stay we've had in this area!
