The coffee and prices were great, but what really stood out was the owner. He was a kind older man who listened and tried to understand our situation. We needed an emergency room, and his hospitality made a difficult time much easier. The room was quiet, cozy, and comfortable, and I felt our things were safe there. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I recommend it to anyone going through Gillette WY.

I was looking forward to the coffee after hearing about it on Google, but it was weak and watered down. The vending machine outside my room took my money without giving me anything, and the shower head was only about five feet up, much too low for someone a foot and a half taller. On the plus side, the place was fairly clean and easy to find in an unfamiliar town. The man at the desk was friendly, even though I woke him when checking in and out.

The owner let me see the room before I paid, which was nice. It had a little stove and kitchen sink, plus another sink in the bathroom, and I felt safe there. For the price, this is one of the best values I’ve found in a hotel. If you’re in Southeast Wyoming, stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

It looks nice from outside, but the room needs a serious cleaning and some paint. The shower walls were dirty, the soap tray was crusted with soap left by other guests, and the baseboards throughout the room were dirty too. This place is dirty.

We paid, saw the bathroom, and went straight to the Howard Johnson next door, where we paid less. There are plenty of options in town, and the reviews here seem mixed, so if you decide to stay, ask to see a room and inspect it closely. The Howard Johnson also has free breakfast.
