Travelodge Grand Rapids

This was my second work trip stay here, and I'll be back. For the lowest-priced room that still lets me unwind, it's been a good choice, and I had no real problems. The room was very clean and smelled fresh, the staff were great, and the mattress is so comfortable I could fall asleep as soon as I lie down. I should get a good night's rest before work tomorrow. It was about $10 more than the Red Roof Inn I stayed at previously, but the difference in cleanliness and comfort was night and day. The staff there were nice too, though the place felt dingy and I didn't rest well. One thing here that needs attention is the bath heat lamp and fan, which could use a thorough cleaning. Also, the sidewalks aren't kept clear of snow and ice.

The neighborhood isn't the best, but the room was clean and comfortable, and the bed felt like a pillow floating in a cloud. We got there around 11 pm, and the desk staff really tried to make us comfortable. You can tell the owner is working hard to keep the place in shape. Credit to them for that.

Whenever I'm in Grand Rapids, this is where I stay. The price is extremely good, and the place is just plain solid. Rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and fresh-smelling, with no bugs, dust, rust, or anything like that. Staff are always friendly, courteous, and ready to help.

Breakfast was simple: bagels, muffins, waffles you make yourself, and cereal. We had a nice bed and a mostly clean facility, but our toilet was leaking. The pool was pleasant, though there was visible water damage on the pool room ceiling and wall. Maid service did a good job. Our room had a fridge, flat screen TV, cable, and coffee maker.
