I chose Studio 6 because the price was affordable and the location was convenient while I was traveling for work. The room was basic, but having a small kitchen area with a fridge and stovetop helped since I didn’t want to eat out every night. Corvon at the front desk was excellent, respectful, helpful, and had a nice smile. I was feeling down, and he made me laugh. Thanks, VON.

There was some nighttime foot traffic that concerned me, but front desk staff T’Asia handled every issue I had with great customer service. Vincent, the assistant manager, looked after me and my girl during our stay, and he and Willie did everything they could to make the visit a positive one.

Every place has things it could improve, but this property has some really good employees. Cororon at the front desk is a superstar, and manager Vincent is always willing to work with you. I can’t forget Aleshia either. These people are what make the place.

The room had several problems from the moment we arrived: no bathroom door, an unclean-looking bed, roaches in the stove’s digital clock, mismatched chairs, and a wobbly island. He ordered new sheets and blankets for us, but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, felt a hundred years old, and had a deep dent on one side. The rooms looked worse than the photos online. We could hear everything downstairs and outside, with people screaming through the night, and nobody from housekeeping ever came by. The Wi-Fi was slow too. My husband and I had flown in from Canada for a funeral and a little vacation. We’d heard Studio Six was the best place to stay in the States, but we’d disagree. After a 23-hour plane and train trip, we arrived at 10 am. Two men, one with long blond hair and another white man, laughed and stared at us; to be fair, we probably looked homeless. The black gentleman told us there were no rooms and check-in was at 3. We returned around 2:30, tired and wanting to rest. When my husband asked again, the story changed after he pointed out early check-in was available for a small fee. I wasn’t paying for just 20 minutes, so we waited. Our last issue was getting towels. I have seizures from heart complications and accidentally spilled soda on the counter and floor, so my husband used our towels to clean it up. He went to the desk for replacements, and the woman snapped that towels were only available in the morning. He begged for one, asking if there might be a clean one in the laundry, but she didn’t even look and rudely said no. After seeing the room, I don’t think a week here was worth the $400 we paid. Maybe at $200, but not that price. We won’t return. I hope others save themselves the money, time, and frustration and choose a hotel worth what they charge.

My phone was stolen from the reception, and nobody was willing to help. The staff were rude, loud, and high, and in the end they only made me angrier. The rooms were another mess: no bedding or toiletries, and the sheets they gave me were stained with blood. What is going on here? Who owns this place? They need to change the staff or set some rules for running it properly. Glad they don’t work for me.
