Home2 Suites by Hilton Irving / DFW Airport North

For an overnight DFW layover, this hotel was a great place to land. The room was roomy and clean, with a kitchenette and plenty of counter space, and the bed had some of the coziest sheets we had on our two-week trip. Tricia welcomed us warmly at check-in and suggested places to eat. We loved the Thai food truck across the street. Breakfast didn’t quite match what I was hoping for. I wanted a basic plate of eggs, sausage, and potatoes, but it was more set up for making a breakfast sandwich. Still, it didn’t take away from a really good stay. One thing to know: you need to call ahead for the airport shuttle. I expected it to run by every 15 minutes or so, but that wasn’t how it worked. When I called, they were helpful and sent someone promptly. The driver was just as pleasant, and I’d stay here again on another DFW layover.

I liked being so close to the airport, and Dakota was very helpful when I booked the shuttle back there. The hotel sent a shuttle to pick me up, and Paul was a very nice driver. Tricia was also friendly and helpful when I arrived. My room had everything I needed, and I made good use of the exercise room, especially the bike for my daily workout. It’s a really nice place, and I’d definitely recommend it. Home2Suites is a great brand!

I came with a group for work, and the staff were consistently available and thoughtful about helping us. They added personal touches and gave us great service throughout. The rooms have plenty set up for a longer visit: dishes, a fridge and freezer, a desk, table, couch, and three bed options. It’s easy to rest or get work done there, so I’d consider it an excellent choice for an extended stay.

The bed was excellent, the shower was convenient, and the sofa was in perfect condition. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was sandwiches, but there was a good selection and the quality was quite good. It seemed like a newly built hotel, which may explain why it was so clean. The building materials didn’t look especially high quality, but for new construction it was more than satisfactory.
