Pony Express Motel

The shower drained so slowly that the water reached my ankles during a short shower. My son had to wait about 30 minutes for it to drain, then we rinsed the tub and waited for it to drain again before he could shower. That delayed our early start. For a room this pricey, I expected everything to work. The bathroom was very small too, nowhere near normal hotel size. We stopped here to rest during our drive to the East Coast. The room was clean, smelled okay, and had useful in-room amenities. I think hotels in this area are overpriced because visitors are basically captive, with nowhere else to stay for miles, and the service is just okay.

Getting into town and to Jackson Hole ski area was easy, though I didn’t find a shuttle and we drove into town. Parking was easy too, and there was a pool that looked like it’d be nice in warmer weather. The water heated up quickly and had good pressure throughout. The room was clean, spacious, and nicely kept, with a comfortable bed. The room card system seemed updated and worked easily. Having a bunk bed would make it even better for families. Well done.

The mountain view when I woke up was beautiful, and I finally got a good night's sleep. I've been on the road for a little over a week, and this was by far the best place I've stayed. Having a full kitchen was such a nice change. I could cook something instead of relying on the microwave.

Clint made us feel welcome from check-in through handing back the key, and he even found us a great place to use a hot tub when the pool wasn't heated in winter. Google says the pool is heated, and maybe it is at other times, but in winter it looked like an ice rink. Our condo was spotless, had a full-size fridge and all the kitchen supplies we needed, and the decor really fit the Jackson vibe. We had an amazing stay at the Pony Express Motel, and we've already recommended it to friends. We'll definitely come back.
