Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Flagler Center

The location is convenient, right off the highway and close to restaurants and sbucks, but the property looks run down, with broken lights and holes in the doors. Cleaning was also poor. Dust on the backsplash is the sort of deep-cleaning issue many hotels miss, but finding hairs and pubic hairs all over the floor and bathtub was unacceptable. There’s no way they vacuumed the bathroom. The breakfast café needs work too. We waited a long time for mediocre coffee because the espresso machine kept breaking, then got a breakfast sandwich heated in the microwave or toaster. On the second day we went to Starbucks instead of paying $14 for breakfast.

The hotel staff helped make our wedding weekend memorable. Theresa did a great job accommodating our group for a meal the first night most of us were there, and Cody was fantastic during that meal. Becky was a delight when we returned from the wedding. The bartenders, cleaning staff, and everyone else were professional and helpful with anything we needed. It was a fantastic stay, and the rooms were updated and clean.

The room needs work. The sheets didn’t fit properly, the bathroom grout was dirty, and the furniture looked mismatched, like it came from a secondhand sale. The hotel needs an upgrade, and I think dogs should have a size limit. The staff were wonderful, especially Azalea at the breakfast bar.

Heather and her staff were so helpful, and the property was clean, quiet, and peaceful. The rates were amazing too. Best hotel in Jacksonville! I’ll be back soon.
