Quality Inn Jacksonville - Orange Park near Naval Air Station

You get a decent free breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, and more, and the beds are comfortable enough. The rooms aren’t nice, and I had to yank on my door to get it to lock. For a cheap place to spend a night, it’ll do if you’re not picky. If your standards are medium or high, look elsewhere.

The place is pretty nice for this area and price range. The staff seem to care, the rooms are clean, and they keep things up. Still, I can't get past being charged an extra $2 a night for the in-room safe. Nobody mentions it when you book, and apparently you can ask to have it refunded at checkout, though they might say no. It's a small amount, but it adds up when everyone pays it.

The staff were really friendly on both the day and night shifts, and the location was convenient. The room was clean, but it felt very dated. The wooden furniture was chipped and worn, and there was mold on the window, air conditioner, and lampshade. The toilet worked, though it flushed so slowly that it took two tries to clear even a little paper.

We found stains on the bed, mold throughout the bathroom, and bugs by the toilet, so we decided to leave. The manager on duty said it “wasn’t that bad,” and since we had booked just one night, they said they wouldn't refund the full amount. We did get half the room cost back, but that was it. Spend the extra $30 and stay somewhere nicer.
