Stayable Jacksonville North

There were four of us, me, my husband, and my in-laws, but we were given only two towels and told extra ones cost $10. We also had to buy a shower curtain before we could shower. The mini fridge was broken and leaking, and the microwave was sitting on the ground. When we returned from dinner, the floor was covered in water, so they had to replace the fridge. Outside lights came through the curtains so brightly that it looked like noon on a summer day, making it hard to sleep. The room was dirty and grimy, with dead bugs and what looked like mold or mildew under the beds. The tub felt as if you might fall through when stepping in, though we did manage to shower. Nearby there’s a gas station and a Hardee’s; a few exits down I-95 is a larger shopping area with a Walmart where you can get towels and a shower curtain. We stayed one night at the end of November.

The room smelled of mildew, and at check-in I was told half the rooms had TVs that didn’t work. When I started taking pictures and told the desk guy I’d write a review, he said I had to leave and stop photographing. He then said I couldn’t get a refund or transfer my reservation. Because of all that, I’m sleeping in my car tonight. Stay away.

The room I’m in now has electrical power that keeps going out, and the manager is rarely at the desk. The room is fairly clean, but the vending machine seems to be finessing people: the buttons are broken and it takes your money.

I went to soho hotel Florida and it was a bad experience. The man told me there were no king beds, only full beds, and then said there were no TVs in the rooms. He suggested I go somewhere else and helped me use booking to get my money back. I’m so disappointed, jill.
