The room was clean and smelled nice, and Jay made me feel looked after. He even noticed my checkout date was coming up and reminded me to extend if I needed more time. I know where I'll stay the next time I'm in Tacoma.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the other guests kept things quiet. We came to town for a seminar, and when my brother-in-law's plans changed, the staff and owner kindly helped add him to our reservation. Their helpfulness felt like a breath of fresh air after coming from another big city. The Lakewood bus station is less than a mile away, too. I highly recommend this inn and will stay here each time I visit Tacoma.

We were left trying to find somewhere to stay at 1 a.m., 3,000 miles from home, after the hotel said it would cancel our reservation with no refund unless we paid an extra $150 or $250 in cash. We'd booked a three-night stay two weeks ahead, and called the day before to say our flight would get in late. Ashley said that was fine and left a note on our reservation. When we arrived, the extra cash demand came as a surprise. It hadn't been mentioned on the third-party site, so we said we'd step outside to figure it out. The employee and manager told us we couldn't stay on the property to sort it out and had to pay right then or lose the booking and our money. At that hour, hardly any other hotels were checking people in. Do not book here. They will steal your money.

The room was gross, and the staff were rude. They advertise as 'pet friendly,' but kicked me out right after check-in because I had a cat. She'd already been stressed from spending all day on a plane. What a terrible way to treat people and animals. Don't spend your money here.
