The price was fair for a conference stay, and the location worked well near the venue. Free parking, breakfast, a pool, and a gym were included. But I wasn’t told before booking that construction was underway. There were vehicles, debris, and materials across the lot, mats taped to the floors, and a tarp closing off half my floor. Workers moved carpets and carts through the halls each day, with music blaring from behind the tarp. The ice and vending room was also full of partly assembled equipment, so there was no ice or fresh water there. Bottled water seemed to be for sale in the lobby, though a dispenser would have helped since the tap water didn’t taste great. At 3:30 Friday afternoon, after check-in had started, nobody greeted me. The employee who came after I rang the bell seemed blasé. My room itself was clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. The dispenser lotion and body wash smelled great, and the tub was clean with good water temperature and pressure. There were makeup wipes but no other extras like Q-tips, floss, spare soap, or shower caps. The mini-fridge was handy, and the cable channels were nice, though some remote buttons were broken. The heating and AC worked efficiently but were extremely loud, and the smoke alarm flashed all night. I had trouble sleeping despite the comfortable bed. The view was hard to make out, though there seemed to be a pond or lake behind the trees. Cleaning the parking lot trash would improve it. There weren’t many guests, and hallway noise was occasional and minor. Some people in my party used the small, clean pool. Fresh lobby cookies each day and good coffee supplies were a nice touch. Breakfast looked abundant, with waffle batter and irons, but I didn’t get to try it. On Sunday it ended at 10:30, and I wish it ran until the 11 AM checkout. Parking was easy, free, and close to the rooms. I’d like an on-site restaurant or bar, especially since there’s already a dining room and breakfast service. I’d stay again, but first ask whether construction is going on, and I’d bring earplugs and an eye mask.

A good value at a reasonable price, with quick, easy check-in and checkout. The free breakfast offered a nice range of hot and cold choices, and the small indoor pool was warm and very clean. Hampton Inn also had cookies and bottled water at check-in, hot coffee, tea, and chocolate in the lobby throughout the stay, and a roomy in-room fridge with a freezer.

We know for sure that my husband left his $150 leather jacket in the room after checkout. When he called, the man he spoke with said there was a note about a black bag left behind. My husband clarified that it was a jacket, and was told they’d look into it and contact us. No one ever followed up. When we called again, they said they had checked and that it was a mistake, claiming nothing had been left.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was decent. I took off a point because there was no microwave in our room and we had to use a shared one. I also wish there were more grassy spots for our dog. The room was impressively clean and smelled cleaner than any room I can remember.
