Budget Inn Longview

I won't stay here again. The place felt nasty and dirty, though at least there wasn't a stinky carpet. The walls need a thorough cleaning, or really a sanitizing, and the bathrooms need renovation. I can't believe a motel can operate without an inspection.

The people at the front counter were really rude. I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

I only ended up here because the OYO let me down, but this was the nastiest low cost hotel I've stayed in, even after traveling a lot. There were bugs on the floor and walls, the room needed work, and it smelled like old socks and marijuana. The lady at the desk spoke very little English. She did accept cash for my two nights, which I hadn't experienced at a hotel in a long time. I'm not coming back.

We were partway through an 18 hour drive and stopped when we got tired. The office person got us a room quickly and was helpful and efficient, despite quite a few other guests. This is an older, no frills motel, but the room was a good size and the locks and windows worked. The shower was clean, with hot water and good pressure, and the towels were clean too. The bed was uncomfortable, with a thin, worn mattress and springs I could feel. The linens were old and dingy, though clean. It met our needs, and we appreciated that.
