The rooms and shared spaces were much cleaner than I’d feared from earlier reviews, and the staff were around, friendly, and helpful. At 60-something, I really wasn’t looking for anywhere funky, so that was a relief. My room was roomy, sunny, comfortable, and laid out well. I’m not a big fan of K-town, though this block felt calmer and cleaner than much of the neighborhood. The rate also seems fair for a major coastal city. I’d happily come back.

All three of my stays have gone well, so I don’t really get the complaints. The room was nicely updated, service was great, and the staff were friendly. The location is convenient, with a secure entrance and parking if you need it. I’ve stayed here myself and had family members stay too.

Our room was cozy and quiet, with a comfortable bed, and the lobby had a fun, colorful look. The staff were lovely, too. We wanted to stay in K-town while exploring other parts of the city, and this spot worked well since it wasn’t right on a busy street. I’d stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

This was easily the worst experience I’ve had anywhere. I’ve never written a review before, but I’d tell people to stay away. The room smelled damp and musty, the carpet was stained, and moisture had made the edges of the doors bulge. Then, at 7:45 in the morning, construction noise and footsteps overhead woke me up, even though I was on the top floor. Getting checked in was a mess, too. I’d already paid for a private room for the night when the man at the desk said he needed a $220 deposit, even though the website had listed $150. He would only take cash or a physical card, not Apple Pay, and that requirement hadn’t been stated anywhere. My card had been stolen the week before, and I had no cash with me. Instead of trying to work out another option, like a bank transfer, he got angry, wouldn’t let me speak, and called the police. He said guests couldn’t access the lobby, even though I’d paid for a room. He smiled while telling me the booking was nonrefundable, then sent me back out with my luggage into Koreatown at 7:30 pm. Luckily, a friend in town could withdraw the money for me, and they let me back in when I returned. I can’t express how awful this was. Don’t go here.

The lobby looked nice, but the rest of the stay fell apart quickly. In our first room, there was a huge cockroach on the fire sprinkler, so we didn’t even inspect the rest of it. We asked for a refund, since where there’s one bug, there may be more. The person working said they could only move us. We checked the next room and found more bugs under the bed, and could hear every car going by. We checked out and found another hotel within 20 minutes of arriving. They also kept the $20 parking charge and $20 hotel service fee. I took a photo of the insect as proof. I wouldn’t recommend walking around the hotel at night either.
