Homewood Suites by Hilton Louisville-East

The parking lot has lots of spaces, though it could use better lighting. Inside, the hotel smells fresh, and the rooms, furniture, beds, and dining and kitchen areas were super clean. Of the Homewood hotels I’ve stayed at, this may be the cleanest. The shower was amazing, too. The front desk person was very kind and offered to turn on the lights so we could eat our snacks. This is what a Homewood (Hilton) property should look like. If you’re in the area and deciding where to book, this is the one.

My two BR suite was apartment-sized, clean, and very comfortable. I was missing a frying pan for the kitchenette, but the front desk person quickly sorted that out, and it’s as nice as the one I have at home. There’s a small campus area behind the hotel that’s away from busy streets and good for walking. The hotel is close to the freeway, with a few restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed Nov 7-21, and the team made it a really special visit. Check-in was smooth, the staff were fantastic, and breakfast was delicious. There was also complimentary dinner on Mon, Tue, and Wed. Latonya, our GM, was always smiling and helpful. PJ and India served tasty meals with a smile, Karen and Cameron were lovely at the front desk, and Larny was our go-to for maintenance. Idalla and the housekeeping team kept everything spotless. Missing you all already! ❤️

The rooms are spacious and generally much quieter than other hotels, with a kitchenette, dishwasher, and everything needed to make a meal. We’ll stay here again when we return to Louisville a couple of times each year. We came to adopt a baby, and the whole visit was up in the air. The birth induction date changed after we arrived, which shifted our stay, and once the baby was born we had to wait on the court to finish paperwork before we could leave KY. The staff bent over backwards to help. They extended our stay on short notice, blocked off our room in case we needed more days, and put us near the entrance so it was easy to come and go. Everyone was wonderful with our new daughter. One associate hugged me and said how happy she was for our family. On our last day, they let us check out late once the court approved us to go home. The adoption process was extremely stressful, with some issue at almost every step. The associates at homewood suites really helped make it better.
