Red Roof Inn Louisville East - Hurstbourne

The location was great, within driving and walking distance of everywhere I needed to go. But check-in took well over 30 minutes even though we had a reservation, and the room was dirty. The sheets were stained, and when we pulled back the covers there were long hairs all over the bed. The manager refused our request for fresh sheets and covers, telling us to wait until 9 am. There were holes in the walls, and the tub was so dirty I had to clean it myself since nobody was on duty to clean the rooms properly. The rooms had a pungent, horrible odor throughout our stay. The ice machine didn’t work, and they told us to walk to Thorntons to get ice. There were no accommodations, and it wasn’t worth what I paid.

Mr. Robin, the front office manager, was friendly and helpful, and the front desk staff were great too. Check-in was quick, they offered useful local recommendations, and they were always ready with a smile. The location worked perfectly, with easy highway access, close to the airport and expo center, and plenty of nearby places to eat. Free parking was a big plus. For a budget-friendly stay, the Red Roof Inn in Louisville exceeded my expectations. The room was spotless and recently updated, the bedding was comfortable, and I slept really well. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and I appreciated the pet-friendly policy. My furry friend liked it too. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay.

The bedding was filthy, with stains and cigarette burns, and I woke up itching all over from the bugs. When my fiancé got sick, the night worker gave us towels and rags to clean up. But at checkout, the man at the desk had housekeeping inspect the room, called it a “MESS,” and refused to return our deposit. He also blamed us for staining the little bit of carpet by the bed, even though we only had water and Sprite and didn't eat in the room. He was rude and hung up on me twice. Corporate only filed a complaint when I called about the deposit. This place charged $100 a night for a miserable stay and kept our money. It feels like a scam, and I wish I could give it zero stars.

The room was nice, and everything else was great, but the tub leaked slowly and I couldn't get the sink water to come on. This was before I got dressed, so I couldn't do much.
