For the price, this was a very decent hotel. The room was big, the staff were really nice, and it was clean. I expected an Econo Lodge to be only a little better than a Motel 6, so this was a pleasant surprise.

The $100 they charged when we arrived wasn’t part of our booking, and they said it would be returned once the cleaning crew checked for damage. Two days later, we’re still waiting, and now they’re giving us the runaround. The heat was off when we entered the room and took over an hour to warm it up even a little. Breakfast was a joke, and the workers at check-in were slow and rude. We were there for my graduation this past weekend, and it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

I left after the first night and took my business elsewhere. The shower in my room didn’t work, and when I asked the front desk who could help me get a refund, they said they couldn’t give me that information. I tried to record them saying that for my records, and they threatened to call the police. I’d booked one night, then called to change it to two. They told me that wouldn’t be a problem, but at check-in they said I’d be charged the security deposit twice. When I asked some simple questions, they laughed in my face. Zeke and the Jamaican girl with the braids and neck tattoo were both very rude. They didn’t even point out the elevator or show much hospitality. Worst customer service ever. I’ll never spend money with these greedy people again.

I booked the room at 11 in the morning, knowing check-in wasn’t until 3. I was meeting a friend for a BBQ and told them I wouldn’t collect my key until 7 or 8 that evening. I picked it up at 7:30, left my things in the room, and noticed a very strong disinfectant smell. I thought it might fade while I was out at a restaurant, but when I got back at 11, it was still intense. The toilet seat had urine on it too. I had an early flight, so I tried to put up with it, but the odor burned my throat. Turning on the AC made it worse, and the smell came from the unit. It seemed like they’d put some chemical in the AC and run it. I went to the front desk and asked for a refund, but they said no. I checked out at 12:30 and spent the night awake at a casino because it was the only place open. I’ve never stayed somewhere worse. It cost $162 with tax plus a $100 deposit, so it wasn’t a deal. Don’t even try to spend the night. Stay away.
