We found a great price in a Black Friday sale, and the walkable location worked well, with Carmel an easy drive away. Our deluxe king room was clean and roomy, with a comfortable bed. There were lots of windows and natural light, but we kept them closed most of the time for privacy because the room faced the street. Breakfast was included and had hot dishes as well as the usual bagels, yogurt, and coffee. We visited in winter and were pleasantly surprised the pool was heated. Worth a stay!

Our fireplace wasn't working right during our stay, but the assistant manager, Marquis, and the head manager both worked to make it up to us. The staff and management really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our visit. My family and I recently had an amazing stay at Hotel Abrego. The employees were friendly and hospitable, our room was clean and cozy, and the hotel is in a nice part of Monterey. We'd happily stay again and recommend Hotel Abrego to family and friends.

The fireplace in our room was a lovely surprise, and we slept really well. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the bedding was crisp. The rooms are generous in size, cozy, and very well maintained, though not especially modern. The location is spot on, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and coffee shops.

I've stayed here several times, and it's become my go-to. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are friendly. It costs a bit more, but that's Monterey, and compared with other hotels I'd say you get more for your money. Breakfast is pretty good for the price. There's a hot tub to enjoy, though it's so cold here I'm not sure you'd want to use the pool.

We spent our anniversary here, and the staff surprised us with a handwritten card and a bottle of wine. The service was amazing, and the on-duty manager was kind and went out of the way to help. Check on accessibility before booking: some rooms aren't reachable by elevator, so you may need to carry your luggage up stairs or ask someone for help.
