I stay here for the in-room washer and dryer, and my room is clean because I keep it that way, not because of housekeeping. They say housekeeping comes every 7 days, but I’ve gone weeks without it. You have to ask for refreshments every day. Management is disingenuous and careless, and doesn’t address guests’ needs. The GM is inept at customer service. This could be a nice place with an experienced General Manager in charge. The floors are so dirty that white clothes will turn dark. I’ve found toenails and fingernails in the carpet, human and dog hair everywhere, orange film in the shower and tub, and dirt and debris under the beds. The gym trash can hasn’t been emptied for a month, there are clumps of dog hair in the gym, and people shave in the gym bathroom and leave hair in the sink for days. You can smell and feel how unclean it is. This is a high-volume, low-budget hotel, and you get what you pay for. You could easily get sick at the WaterWalk hotel. Wash the sheets and utensils right away before using them, and check for bedbugs and spray the mattress. The positives are the in-room laundry, Walmart across the parking lot, and the interstate nearby. I keep my staff at Home2 next door. It has free laundry, and the staff smile, know your name, and greet you every day. I go there daily for our training meetings. Best.
